Let's talk about NYX

Ever since NYX has become more and more accessible to those of us living in the U.K. I have been completely obsessed. I started off with the soft matte lip cream in Copenhagen and it escalated very quickly to now having one of every type of product!

First I'll talk about some of my absolute favourites from this brand. The first being the brow pomade, which many claim to be a good dupe for the Anastasia dip brow! I've never personally tried dip brow, but I can honestly say that the NYX brow pomade is SO good. I'm on my second one of the shade 'Brunette' and I love using it on those days where you know you're going to be wearing makeup all day because it literally doesn't budge.

Another firm favourite is the blush that they do in the shade 'taupe' which is more of a contour colour. It's perfect for people with fair skin like me however the only downfall being is that as soon as you hit pan it shatters! Kind of given up on repurchasing after the last three shattering!

Probably my second favourite is the 'Warm Neutrals' eyeshadow palette. I picked this up just before Christmas after having lusted over it for a good month or so! I definitely do recommend getting this just because it is so beautiful, so compact and just all round good! For £16 I don't think you can say no?

The liquid lipsticks are a bit touch and go for me. I love the Lingerie range of which I own 'Honeymoon', 'Corset', and 'Lace Detail' (left to right in pic). Although I do sometimes find the lip cremes to be a bit more difficult, but this might be because I own two of the darkest shades ('Transalvania' and 'Copenhagen'). I really want to pick up 'Stockholm' and try a more nudey shade.

A let down is the eyeliner and the brow pencil. The eyeliner I really dislike only because when my eyes water it smudges really bad, but then I do have the same problem with most eyeliners! However the colour is super nice and black! I picked up the brow pencil in the shade 'brunette', assuming it to be the same shade as the pomade, but its very light and orangey toned - I might prefer it in a darker shade!

Another disappointment is the Hd concealer. The first few I bought, in the shade 'porcelain', were so good and I honestly can say it's one of my favourite concealers! But recently I got it in the same shade and its too orange/dark! It's no longer pale enough for my pale skin! I have only recently picked up the lavender colour correcting concealer, but so far I'm really liking it to brighten under my eyes!

I have also really enjoyed using the HD setting powder as it is perfect for setting a more full coverage look. However the flashback is CRAZY, so I wouldn't recommend wearing it on a night out if pictures are going to be taken.

Another product I haven't really used is the blotting papers, however the few times I have I found that they get rid of oily patches really well AND super good value for money! I paid £3-4 and you get so many sheets. Finally the setting spray is a firm favourite, it's refreshing and I definitely think it helps with the longevity of my makeup.

Some bits I really want to pick up included the Contour kit and some more single eyeshadows
