August empties..2021

Early in august I set myself the task to focus on particular products so that I finished some bits up.. here’s what I managed! I did miss a Bodyshop Camomile Micellar water (which I LOVE) but the rest is all above..

Two fake tans.. I didn’t quite get the natural tan over the summer so Bondi was the way forward! I finished off the liquid gold and the tanning foam. I have used the foam one for years, so wanted to give liquid gold a go! I actually really enjoyed the liquid gold, nearly as much as the foam! Will deffo be repurchasing after I’ve finished a few other tans!

Next up face wash! The Bodyshop vitamin c face polish is SO good, if you haven’t tried it you should. It’s a face wash with little exfoliating beads in it so gives your face a really good clean! I thoroughly enjoyed using it! Will be repurchasing!

Clinique take the day off.. a mini! I used this a few times when I was travelling it was a really handy size for a few weekends away. I enjoyed it but not as much as the bodyshop camomile balm. It didn’t feel like it melted things as much as it could. Won’t be repurchasing!

Wishful enzyme scrub, really LOVED this. I tried the makeup revolution one as a comparison and it does not compare! I really need this in a full size, made my skin feel amazing and glowy.

Pixi vitamin c tonic, really loved this too! I used the rose one before which I also loved, but vitamin c does amazing things for my skin! Going to be repurchasing this. I’m a big fan of pixi skincare!

Two boots products, both I really enjoyed using! The essence was lovely and a great affordable price for the products. The dewy serum also amazing, both were about £4 each! So great for anyone who’s on a budget!

Function of beauty gel moisturiser (Pr gifted) I found the texture of this really refreshing but I didn’t really see any benefits of it, it was a good am moisturiser. But for the price there are much better alternatives,

Bodyshop SPF 50, I loved this last summer but when I went to try again this summer I found it too thick and it kept piling with my other products. I reached for it more on no makeup days! As other wise I found it was Leaving white residue along my hair line. They have brought out a lighter version which I think I would enjoy more.

It feels good to finish products, I think I’ll do this again over the next two months see what I can finish! It makes some space and allows me to try other products I’ve got in my stash,

Anyone else tried any of these? Any thoughts? What products are you close to finishing?

H&M Wishlist..

H&M is one of my favourite stores, so browsing through their website wasn’t a massive task as most of my favourites are already saved! I’m a big fan of their pieces and find that I get a lot of staples that end up being transitional and lasting me throughout the year! And H&M has 20% off if you’re a student!

Blue mules  - These are my next shoe purchase! I love these because the colour is so lush, I have a beautiful mini Zara bag the same colour which will be perfect with a simple outfit. I find mules generally comfortable and I’ve seen other girls rave about the camel ones they did do, and how wearable they were! So I’m looking forward to getting these on my next order.

Quilted shoulder bag  - Quilted bags are all over the place for this season, I’ve seen some gorgeous ones floating about other shops. This ones a lovely size, and would be ideal if you need a fair few bits and bobs or have a large purse if you’re like me! Colour will go with anything!

Knitted jumper light greige - My sister picked this up a few weeks ago after I spotted it on a little display they had, it’s such a light wearable knit. Perfect with jeans or trousers! Looks smart but also super comfortable and a nice alternative if you have to dress smart for work. Had lots of other colours!

Boucle shirt jacket - This is stunning.. I’m holding back on this because I’ve already got a few shackets in mind for this year but honestly this looks gorgeous in real life. Zara do a similar one which Is lovely too, with the discount it’s definitely a must!

Knee high boots - Saw these on someone’s Instagram and automatically fell in love, never been one for knee high boots but these are definitely something I would wear. For the price I think they’re very affordable, and the style looks like it has the potential to be comfortable and wear well.

Knitted wrap cardigan  - Lovely simple knit, I’ve got a beige one from ASOS similar and they’re so easy to wear! They have a few colours!

Knitted sweater vest - Another one I have my eye on, I think I’ll go for the black for work with a long sleeve top underneath! Really good price for this, H&M have loads of knitted vests deffo the place to go if you fancy them! They’re great for layering over tops, bodysuits or shirts!

Fleece shirt jacket - This is one I already own haha, it was my birthday purchase, so I got good discount off (thanks H&M) not had the opportunity to wear it yet with the lovely weather but It looks lovely on and I think the price (24.99) is amazing, I know I’m going to get lots of wear out of it!

Jacquard bag - This is a recent spot, I have the Gucci inspired one they released early summer, and this one looks like a fab A/W version! The size is fab with these bags, I fit in my iPad and everything I need for a long day!

Let me know if you purchase anything from my wishlist!

Mini makeup review..

A couple of months ago I had a makeup crisis I felt like my makeup wasn’t cutting it, mainly my base makeup. My wishlist was full and I decided to choose a few things that I thought would make a difference.

1. Huda Beauty water jelly primer,  I’ve never massively been into primers, but this one had really good reviews, and I brought it to go with the huda foundation which is very full coverage and thick. This primer seems to help it go on a lot better. It also works wonders with my Nars longwear foundation which I use regularly.

2. Huda beauty easy bake powder  I got the mini, as I still have a few powders and wanted to make sure I 100% loved it. It is AMAZING. I used it for a week and already decided that the full size was needed. It’s flawless, gives your skin an airbrushed finish. My shade is pound cake and it’s great, I could have gone a shade lighter if I wanted to use it to brighten up areas, but I’m still a big fan.

3. Anastasia dip brow pomade,  I went for taupe in this which is the shade I’ve always used, but actually because my hair is super blonde now I think I should have opted for a lighter colour.. however I have still been using It. I used to use this religiously, for years and years, now I prefer a more natural softer brow. But I thought I would get it to use when I really want to make my brows look defined, I’ve been using it just in the arch and ends, steering clear of the middle haha.

4. Fenty bronzer  this is such a lovely bronzer, I got shade Inda sun, and it’s just perfect for giving me a natural sun kissed look. I’ve always been a Nars Laguna girl but as I’ve got blonder, I’ve found that t(e nars bronzer is a tad too harsh so this Fenty one is perfect. 100% recommend, and they have lots of shades!!

I’ve been splurging on makeup bits since this haul, and I’m super happy with how I do my makeup now! These products and a few added from Charlotte tilbury are giving me the ultimate glowy makeup.. Maybe I’ll put up a CT review.. keep your eyes peeled for that!

It’s been nearly a whole year since I stepped foot on my blog.. and whilst I hate that I keep having to say ‘I’m back’ it’s true I am back.. but I bet you’ll I’ll disappear again as life gets over run with work and whatever else stops me from using this platform!

But this time I have decided that I’m going to do an overhaul and seriously start using my platforms.. for the greater good and to fuel my need to discuss my passions (Fashion & Beauty.. and feminism whilst we’re at it.)

This time I’m back with a revamped website,  not just a blogger site! So get ready..
