Giving into the hype.

Whilst I have got a very large collection of makeup there is still many 'cult' products that Ive just never got around to buying. So I thought I ought to try some out!

The Anastasia contour kit has probably been at the top of my list for years and years. But I already had the cream contour one and Nars laguna so didn't see the need. But when I could get this for the bargain of £19.99 in Tkmaxx I couldn't say no? Honestly couldn't believe how much ABH they had in my store, the Subculture palette, moon child highlighter palette, lipglosses and liquid lipsticks! Could've brought it all but SOMETIMES I have a little restraint.

In terms of eyeliner I have always been a Stila 'stay all day' kinda gal but everyone always raves about the Kat von d tattoo liner. Im always trying to find good liquid liners because I hate a lot; they are either not black enough or smudge off when my eye gets a bit watery. From first impressions I really like the Kat von d liner. I have been wearing it for around 12 hours and it hasn't budged although it looks slightly less black but I will let it off.

I am addicted to makeup revolution concealers, I loved the one with the rose gold packaging but now I'm Hooked on the tube one from the new pro range. It is amazing and also so perfect for carving out my brows! But for the longest time I've been wanting to get either the Urban Decay naked skin concealer or the Nars creamy concealer. I don't know why I didn't get the urban decay one sooner. Its insane, super creamy and sets like a dream with powder! I got the lightest shade and it still does a really great job at brightening my under-eyes! It might be my favourite concealer yet!

I don't need to talk about the Urban decay all nighter setting spray, I think this might be my third but I honestly think nothing will ever replace it.

Thats my makeup addiction fed for a week or so..

Been a while since I posted (nearly 4 months apparently) but thought I would kick it off with a run through of some of my current favourite products. At the top of this list includes the beautiful Norvina palette which I got for my 21st.
When It first came out I was under the impression it was one of those crazy bright colourful palettes which I would buy and then barely use because I am pretty basic when it comes to eyeshadow. But boy was I wrong. I have used this everyday without a doubt. The shades are incredibly wearable and whilst the purples might look crazy, they actually are the basis of a pretty incredible eye look that I am growing to love more and more.
This eye look is made up of 'incense' 'passion' 'dreamer' and 'summer' not a particularly crazy eye look but deffo night out worthy. Whilst my cut creases aren't amazing the P.Louise base in 'rumour 1' is making it slightly easier. Im pretty sure every makeup lover has this but if you don't then its amazing, I also use it to carve out my eyebrows as its so creamy you can get a really neat line.

Im not going to go too in to detail about all the other products I used as that would bore you to death. and myself. So I'll just list them below.

- No7. light day moisturiser
- The ordinary silicon primer
- The ordinary foundation 1.2n
- Revolution pro concealer shade 1.
- Laura mercier translucent powder
- Nars laguna
-Doll beauty 'like a diamond'
- Anastasia dip brow 'taupe'
- Tatti lashes TL4 (my new favourites)
- Jamie Genevieve Mac lipstick with Nyx Beige lip liner.

Brushes:
Real techniques multi tasker.
Nanshy beauty blender.
Zoeva- brow liner. 226 smudger. 234, 217 and 104 buffer.
Morphe 518 (a must have!!!)  M431, R37 (which is perfect for highlight)

Hair products I have been loving

Since having dyed my hair from dark brunette to a white blonde my hair has taken a serious hit and is  fairly damaged. I had to have loads chopped off and the several tonnes of bleach has made my hair pretty dry. So in a desperate attempt to save my hair and make it grow faster I have been trying out lots of different products.
The Lee Stafford range has been my best friend, The purple shampoo is incredible and really helps to keep my hair looking fresh and silvery/purple. I call this my 'toner' as it really does the job!

The CoCo Loco range from Lee Stafford is really good also, the hair mask is incredible. I must be on my 5th tub by now, it leaves your hair feeling SO soft and moisturised. I also tried the blow dry balm but I'm not particularly good with putting product in my hair before I dry it so I didn't use it all that much. I just love anything with coconut in, the smell and the nutrient properties are just a big hit with me!
(Even just using raw coconut as a hair treatment does amazing things, Often on a Sunday I sit with it in my hair for an hour or so just as a hair mask)

Another Brandy I have been loving is Bodyshop in particular the  Bodyshop Coconut hair oil which I saw someone on instagram raving about. THIS IS INSANE Im going to talk about a few other products that I use on my ends but seriously this one works. The one flaw with the other serums I have tried is they don't seem to last all day and if your careful you can put too much through your hair and it ends up looking like you have a bucket full of product through your ends. Whereas the Bodyshop Coconut oil looks like you just have luscious shiny hair all day long.

Another product from the Bodyshop is the Fuji green tea hair scrub I haven't used it that much so can't really comment but I wanted something to stimulate my hair to grow and I read a lot about using something like this and massaging it through your hair. People online suggest using this as a shampoo  which I haven't tried on its own but I have struggle with finding a shampoo that really works for me so I might give it a try. One comment I can make is that I suffer with quite itchy scalp probably from using the wrong shampoos but after using this once or twice a week I have noticed that its not so bad.

In terms of serums I have been loving the Redken anti-snap leave in treatment, which my hairdresser recommended- it is supposed to help your hair from breaking! The reviews online are incredible, Ive been using it when I remember and it is really amazing!! A little pricey but if you get it off FeelUnique then you'll be able to get some kind of discount on it!
The Toni and Guy serum has also been a life saver, you can use it on dry hair which is good coz I always forget when my hairs wet. it really helps to calm down any frizzy ends and make it easier to use hot stylers.

Aussie is another amazing brand (although I didn't particularly get on with the serum) the Miracle Moisture range is insane, the shampoo, conditioner and leave in spray conditioner is my favourite. Like it says on the bottle they leave your hair leaving moisturised and soft. It also smells fruity which is always a plus, nothing better than spraying a peach smelling product all over your hair haha.

The latest product I tried which might actually be a groundbreaking item is called Pureplex Hair repair system its incredible! I saw it in Superdrug the other week whilst browsing down the hair isle, I managed to get it on offer for about £8 but it is sooooo worth it. When I have gotten my hair done in the salon they always use Olaplex which is a hair treatment designed to repair and strengthen your hair, well this is essentially the same product but a quarter of the price. Anyone who has bleached their hair should look into getting this!!!!

Is there any hair products that you love? would love to try some new things out! sill trying to find the perfect solution.

Todays Face of Makeup

Todays makeup is basically my current favourites, minus the foundation as I am still to decide wether or not I like it haha.

So I didn't include In the photo but I used my No.7 moisturiser (haven't used any other moisturiser since like June because I love it so much ) before I put on the Ordinary Foundation. Im still not sold on the foundation,  its got a beautiful finish especially if I use some of the iconic drops with it. Its just slightly too warm for my skin tone, looks fine when I've got a bit of fake tan on though.

Ive been LOVING the Anastasia dip brow in the shade 'taupe' Ive always sworn on the Freedom dupe of this product but nothing beats the original. It seriously stays on all day and makes it so easy to add shape and definition.

So the Makeup revolution concealer is having a moment and is being branded a Tarte shape tape dupe which I haven't acc tried but I can confirm that the concealer is AMAZING. The shade range is amazing and the lightest shade is still light enough to use as a brightening concealer on my pale ass porcelain skin. I really want to pick up a darker shade to use as a cream contour. For £4 it is a staple for anyone who's looking for a full coverage concealer.

I don't need to talk about Nars Laguna bronzer again because honestly its the only bronzer I have used since the beginning of last summer. I recently got the Chanel les beiges powder which ive been using to set my under eyes as it sets them but doesn't make my skin look dry.

Im still obsessed with the ABH modern renaissance.  I recently purchased the Prism palette which I also love but doesn't amount to the same amount of love that I have for all the pinky hues of the Modern Renaissance.

The important part is the new lashes I have been obsessed with! Doll beauty has changed my life, I've only tried one style but I couldn't be more in LOVE. The style 'Chloe Elizabeth' is perfect for me, I love natural looking but fluffy lashes. There not as long as the Tatti TL3's which I wear on nights out but they are perfect for day time looks when I want fuller lashes.

The Two faced 'better than sex' mascara, I am acc really impressed with this one. Because I wear false lashes the majority of the time I don't really try out many mascaras and have only really worn the Benefit Roller lash for the last few years but this one I've actually used on a no false lashes day and I loved it, made my lashes look thick and Long which is shocking considering my lashes are in pretty bad form from wearing false ones for the last 4 years.

Finally this Nyx lipliner in 'beige' is amazing ive been wearing it on its own as well as under Velvet teddy. Its a beautiful nude brown which is my favourite kind of nude.

has any one else tried out the Doll beauty lashes? whats your favourite style?
